Grief and Loss
When we lose someone we love, when our lives change, and/or when our expectations don’t live up to the reality, we experience loss or grief. Everyone handles loss in different ways. It is a common misconception in our society that people should get passed a situation after a certain amount of time goes by and that “time heals all wounds”. This is not necessarily the case. Everyone’s journey to processing and healing is different, and can sometimes be complex. Counselling can help provide insight into the significance of loss and allow facilitation of the grieving process.
